5-Week Pottery Class
Learn the fundamentals of throwing on the pottery wheel, hand building, and glazing. Perfect for first-timers or those looking to build confidence with the basics. This class is required for anyone seeking studio membership or open studio hours. Age 13+.
Duration: 5 weeks

No experience necessary
Intermediate Wheel Throwing
For those with prior experience who want to build skills, explore complex forms, or focus on consistency.
Topics include: Centering larger amounts of clay, lidded vessels, sets, trimming techniques
Includes: 25 lbs. of clay, studio access during open hours for trimming
Prerequisite: an established thrower who has taken at least one 5-week pottery class at our studio
Intermediate Handbuilding
Take your handbuilding skills to the next level. This class is designed for students who are comfortable with basic techniques like slab, coil, and pinch construction and are ready to explore more complex forms and refined finishes.
You’ll deepen your understanding of form, surface design, and structural integrity while working on projects such as lidded containers, sculptural vessels, wall pieces, or functional sets. Emphasis will be placed on design, craftsmanship, and personal expression.
Prerequisite: 5-Week Pottery Class at our studio
Focus: Project planning, construction techniques, surface texture, and glazing
Includes: Clay, tools, and firing
Projects: Mugs, planters, wall hangings, and more

Throw & Glaze Workshops
Fun, relaxed sessions — great for date nights, friend groups, or trying the potter’s wheel without a long commitment. In this hands-on, beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll experience the full pottery process — from forming to finishing.
Session 1: Make (2 hrs.)
You’ll create your piece using simple wheel or handbuilding techniques (like pinch, slab, or coil). Our instructors will guide you step-by-step to bring your project to life.
Session 2: Glaze (1 hr.)
Once your piece has been bisque fired, you’ll return to apply colorful glaze (about a week later). We’ll walk you through design tips and glaze application so your piece comes out uniquely yours.

Kids’ Pottery Classes & Camps
Let creativity take shape! In our fun and hands-on classes, kids explore the world of clay through handbuilding projects. Students will learn basic pottery techniques while creating their own unique pieces — from pinch pots and animal sculptures to bowls and mugs.
Our instructors guide young artists through each step, encouraging imagination, problem-solving, and self-expression in a supportive environment. These classes are a great way for kids to build confidence, get messy, and have fun while learning a timeless craft. Camps are offered in the summer and include ceramics, mosaics, and pottery painting.
